WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PET AND A FAMILIAR?
A pet is a companion with no real understanding, while a familiar is one enlightened by a fae. They truly know their owner, magic, and possess a humanlike consciousness. Making them able to assist in easy tasks and help their owner.
CAN A MAGI CHANGE DEVOTIONS?
No, the Magi devotions are written into their magic itself. They can choose to study a different devotion, but they will never be as proficient in it as their true one.
HOW DOES A MAGI GET A FAMILIAR?
By asking faefolk for assistance, the fae will take or find the animal of a Magi’s choice and prepare it for its new role.
CAN ENERGY/MAGIC BE STOLEN?
Yes, there are cases when this is possible. But doing so requires OOC consent.
CAN YOU BIND A MAGI'S POWER?
Yes, there is a spell to bind a magi’s power. However it is a Coven ritual, and cannot be done alone.
CAN MAGI FLY?
Not technically, but they can enchant themselves or an object to levitate or move in their desired path for a limited time.
IS VOODOO ALLOWED?
No, to respect beliefs and the religion itself it is not allowed in RP. However, substitutes for concepts may be used. For example, poppets instead of voodoo dolls.
CAN A MAGI CONNECT IN LATE ADULTHOOD?
A Magi’s connection happens whenever they are ready to connect. Though usually around puberty, it can happen whenever.
WHAT IS THE YOUNGEST AGE A MAGI CAN CONNECT?
The youngest age we allow connection is 11 years old.
CAN A MAGI HAVE NO DEVOTION?
No, that would be the Anarchist devotion. Meaning they don't follow a specific tomes values.
CAN A MAGI CREATE THEIR OWN SPELLS/POTIONS?
Yes they can, but they must be submitted for approval before use.
